Since it has been so long since I last blogged, I have posted a ton of pictures from the last two months. Pictures can tell the story a lot better than I can! Here is what we have been up to in Quadville.......
We had so much fun dressing the babies up in their cute Easter outfits, and taking some pictures. Just a month and a half later, and I already cannot believe that they were small enough to fit inside their baskets! They are growing like crazy!!

This is how our sweet Sophie likes to sleep now. She loves her thumb, and blankie! I love to watch her sleep. It is the sweetest thing ever!
Ignore the tornado that went through our living room! They all love to look at each other now, and I often find them smiling at each other!
My first Mother's day!!!! I had a wonderful day with my husband, kiddos, and in-laws!
Thank goodness for spring!!! The babies are really loving the stroller, and do a great job on walks. Grandpa Jerry loves to take them as often as possible when they are here on the weekend!
Max's first taste of green beans. He wasn't sure about it at first, but is a very good eater. I really haven't found anything that he doesn't like. So far, his favorite veggies seems to be squash, and his favorite fruit seems to be peaches and pears!
Brady's first taste of green beans. I have a feeling this little boy is going to be our picky eater! He is not crazy about green beans, or bananas, but seems to like squash, sweet potatoes, peaches, and pears the best! If he decides he doesn't like something, he will gag until he gets it to come back up! Little stinker! :)
Emme's first taste of green beans. Emme is a pretty good eater as well. She will eat about anything so far, but definitely prefers fruit. She is our slow eater, and loves to take her time! It usually wears her out, and she ends up falling asleep in her bouncy seat!
We are waiting on solid foods with Sophie for a while. We go back to the pediatrician on the 25th, so we'll see what he recommends.
I absolutely love to dress the babies up in their cute outfits, and take pictures of them! I think it is partly because we never really had them in anything but sleepers this winter. Here is a cute one of all four babies that we may into a May Day card for their cousins, and grandparents.
Here is another one of our "photo shoots." Grandpa Jerry bought these onesies from the NICU when the babies were still there. We sent a copy of this picture with an update to the NICU.
James' cousin Jenny came down to visit a couple of months ago, and took some amazing photos of the babies, and our family. She is a photographer from Decorah, so if you know anyone in that area, we would highly recommend her!!!
Here is an update on each baby at 6 months:
Little Miss Sophie has come so far since leaving the NICU. We are so proud of the little fighter she is! She is still on a small amount of oxygen, but we're hoping it won't be for too much longer. We had her close to no oxygen, but she started having some issues with acid reflux. Now that the acid reflux is under control, she is doing great!
Sophie is such a sweet girl, and has a smile that just lights up the room! She is really starting to coo, and make noises. I can't wait to see how much weight she has gained at her appointment next week. She is taking almost as much formula as her brothers and sister now, which is such a huge accomplishment for her!
Sweet little Emme has become the little chunk lately, and has the most adorable little rolls on her legs and arms. She has the sweetest and most laid back personality, and is usually happy wherever we put her.
Emme is starting to learn to roll from her tummy to her back, but gets stuck occasionally on her side. She is also really close to rolling from her back to her tummy, and loves to sit in her Bumbo seat.
Mr. Max is our little comedian. We are constantly laughing at his silly little personality. He is definitely the most outspoken one, and is rarely quiet unless he is asleep! He makes the silliest noises, and really tries to carry on a conversation with us. Max loves it when Mommy and Daddy get down close to his face. He loves to feel our skin and hair.
It amazes me how much Max likes to be on his tummy now. He used to hate being on his tummy and would rarely pick up his head. Now, he loves to look around, and is rolling over almost as fast as we put him on his tummy. He loves to play and chew on toys.
Brady's personality is a lot like Emme's; very sweet and laid back. He has the most amazing smile that melts your heart. I think he is going to be our flirt! Poor Brady has been very fussy lately. I think he is cutting some teeth. He chews on his hands all the time, and just screams. This is very out of character for him, and we feel so bad for the poor guy!
Brady isn't quite as interested in rolling over as Max and Emme, but he can do it laying on the tummy time mat. He likes to lay on his tummy, so I am sure it won't be too much longer he'll be rolling over too. Brady loves to cuddle and be rocked to sleep.
This picture is another one taken by Jennifer Henry Photography, and I absolutely love it! This is exactly how I feel about my sweet little miracle babies! They are such a blessing from God, and we are so incredibly thankful for each of them. We love you more than you can ever know Sophie, Emme, Max, & Brady!!!
